History of Our Group
Keitele Forest Oy was found in 1981. Thirteen years later the company experienced a doubling in net sales. This was after new state of the art technology was integrated into the company. By 1999 Keitele had their foot in the door for the window industry. In 2005 the manufacturing of glue-lam timber along with the drying capacity was increased due to the completion of their gluelam factory. By 2014 Keitele had successfully expanded its sawing business through corporate acquisition.
Finnish Wood
The material used by Keitele makes for spectacular wood products of high quality. The wood product used comes from the best coniferous forests of Finland. The selective process means the wood used only comes from conscientious forest owners who follow sustainable practices per legislation. All wood used by the company is PEFC certified Due to this, the wood product used has small, healthy knots and high density. Simply meaning, the finished product has great strength and elastic properties.
Green Keitele
Our new logo represents our green initiatives in proper logging techniques. Sustainable development is one of the guiding principles of the Keitele Group. Our environmentally friendly operation and the origin of the raw wood material we use have been certified. This provides a clear competitive edge—not only for us but also for our clients all over the world because consumers are increasingly environmentally conscious.
